v6.42 (May 2022)

Features and improvements included:

- Two-Factor Authentication: The functionality to incorporate a second authentication factor has been added to the GlobalSuite® GRC tool.

  • In addition to the current authentication mechanism (local, Active Directory, or ADFS Single Sign-On), a second authentication factor via TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) can be activated.
This mechanism allows synchronizing a device to input a numeric code that changes every 30 seconds, which will be requested when the user logs into the tool.

  • This configuration can be activated if required, either as an optional feature or enabled as a mandatory feature, in which case users will be required to configure it on their next access.

  • It includes security mechanisms to allow one-time access to the tool (Recovery Codes), as well as the ability to disable it for a specific user (by accessing their user profile) in case of loss or deletion of the associated device.

To activate Two-Factor Authentication via TOTP, follow these steps:

1. Install and use one of the applications that allow managing this two-factor authentication. Some of them are:

2. Once installed, use the application to scan the QR code displayed on the screen or manually input the "Secret Key" textually.

3. Once linked, you must enter the token or temporary code generated in the application and press the "Activate" button.
IMPORTANT: This token changes every 30 seconds, so after that time, it will no longer be valid.

4. Finally, securely store the recovery codes. These codes will allow you to authenticate once in GlobalSuite® in case of device loss or application deletion.

- Internal improvements and bug fixes.
