BIA Configuration
Table of Business Impact: You can add or remove types of impacts which could affect to the organization. The coordinator of the platform could define the scale for each one of the impacts independently.
These types of impact can be classified as Qualitative and Quantitative depending on if you want to value them in the BIA according to the impact levels previously configured or by inserting numeric values (e.g. economic quantities). Moreover, for each type of impact you can indicate if you want to valuate in a critical period or not additionally. To conclude, you can define the methodology that GlobalSUITE® will use for each one of them, with any of the following criteria: Accumulated value, Maximum, Minimum or Average. de ellos, con alguno de los siguientes criterios: Valor Acumulado, Máximo, Mínimo o Avera
Calculation Global Table Impact: This field allows you to define the criteria to be used to obtain the value of criticality of the impact table, which it may be: Accumulated Value, Maximum, Minimum or Average or Weighted Average assigning weights to each type.
Type of Criticality Calculation: This field indicates if the calculation will be performed by using the initial values of each type of impact (by rows), the values calculated by each one of the interruption steps or with both sets of values (rows and columns).
Impact by Time scale: This table defines the criteria for the impact types created for each level. The criteria defined in the table will appear in the BIA and BIA surveys, so that the user can consult the criteria associated with each assessment level (Low, Medium, High, etc.). To edit a criterion, select the corresponding cell in the table and double click.
Table of Time scale: It allows you to create a time scale which the BIA will be based. You can define different records inserting the quantity (only numeric values) and the unit (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks), with the restriction that it’s not possible to have two units with the same quantity and unit. The table will be ordered automatically with each change.
Levels
This section allows you to define the levels of assessment of different impacts defined in the time scale that has been set. These level are used in the surveys, BIAs and Pre-BIAs. It’s possible to assign a numeric value to each level to be used in the criticality calculation.
These are the tasks which the platform can carry out:
New: It allows you to insert a new category in the table.
Remove: You can remove one or several categories previously defined. For this task you have to select the row or rows and click on the button ‘Remove’.
Change color: It allows you to change the color to stand out the level.
Move up level: It offers the possibility of moving up the position of the level on which is displayed in the list.
Move down level: It offers the possibility of moving down the position of the level on which is displayed in the list.
Criticality levels
This section allows you to define the qualitative levels on which the criticality of the BIA will be expressed. This level is obtained from the calculation of the impact table.
These are the options which you can carry out in this section:
New: It allows you to insert a new entry in the table.
Remove: You can remove different levels of the table. For this you have to select the row and click on the button ‘Remove’.
Change color: It allows you to change the color which every level has.
For each level you can define the range of values. You can edit the maximum value of each level. The table will be ordered automatically once modified. You can edit each field clicking twice on it.
Acceptable Level of Criticality: This field allows you to indicate which level, of those configured in the previous Levels table, corresponds to the level of Criticality accepted by the organization. The indicated Acceptable Level of Criticality can be compared with the level of Criticality obtained in each of the BIAs.
Blocks of the form
This section allows you to edit the title of each block or section of the BIA form.
There are a total of 10 possible blocks. The fields and customizable questions of the BIA will be included in this block. In the BIA form only appears the blocks with an associated field.
Visibility and Fields order
You can define the visibility of the fields and tables that you can use for performing the BIAs. There are obligatory fields such as Name, Table of Impacts and MTPD.
The table displays the following information:
Name: It displays the ID of the field.
Visible: This check allows you to show or hide a field
Block: Clicking twice on this cell, GlobalSUITE® deploys the list of available blocks for selecting on which block will be displayed the specific field in the form.
Order (by block): This column indicates the order of each field within each block. When you changes a block field, it will be added to the end. It’s also possible to sort the fields manually selecting one and clicking on the buttons: "Move up order" or "Move down order".
NOTE: If you hide a field in the general configuration of BIAs, it will be unchecked in the Survey Models.
Customizable questions
This section allows you to define a list of questions which will serve as example for performing the BIAs in the serction 'Analysis/BIAs'.
This is the information that the table allows you to define:
Name:It allows you to define the question
Type of question:It offers the `possibility of paramitizing the type of question and it's possible to select among text, select or table.
Block: Clicking twice on this cell, GlobalSUITE® deploys the list of available blocks for selecting on which block will be displayed the specific field in the form.
Order (by block): This column indicates the order of each question within each block. When you changes a question, it will be added to the end. It’s also possible to sort the questions manually selecting one and clicking on the buttons: "Move up order" or "Move down order".
If you want to mark the questions as 'Select'. 'Table' or 'Asset Table' you have an available section for defining it. If you mark 'Select', you can define the options that could be selected. For the questions of Table you can define the columns that will have. To conclude, you can select a subset of categories to be used.
For inserting a type of question on the table you have to click on the button 'new'. If you want to remove it, you have to select the row and click on the 'Remove' button.
